Get registered

You have likely been purged from the voter rolls if you didn't vote in the 2022 General Election. Check with the County Clerk’s Office to find out if you registered. (Call (307)332-1088)

Bring your ID. If you have a Wyoming driver's license, it is the easiest form of ID to use. Among other acceptable forms of ID (with the last four digits of your Social Security number):

  • Tribal ID

  • U.S. Passport

  • Military ID

You may also register via mail (there is no online opportunity). If you register by mail, you must sign the form in front of a Notary Public.

  • Pavillion Town Hall, 215 S. Main, Pavillion 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal, Riverton 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Shoshoni Town Hall, 102 E 2nd St., Shoshoni 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Northern Arapaho Enrollment Office, 533 Ethete Rd., Ethete 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Voting Information

There are three ways to vote in Wyoming!

  1. You can vote on Election Day at a voting center.

  2. You can vote absentee from your home with an absentee ballot. Request your absentee ballot by mail, phone, or email from the Fremont County Clerk’s Election Office.

  3. You can early vote in person at the Fremont County Clerk’s Election Office. Fremont County Courthouse, 450 N. 2nd Street, Lander, Wyoming 82520. The Election Office is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM.

Important Dates for Election 2024

  • August 5—Voter registration closes. Voters can register and vote absentee from August 6th to 19th. They can also register and vote at their polling place on Primary Election Day.

  • July 23-August 19—Early/absentee voting at the Fremont County Courthouse

  • August 20— Primary Election Day

  • October 21—Voter registration closes. Voters can register and vote early/absentee from October 22nd to November 4th. On General Election Day, voters can register and vote at their polling place.

  • October 8-November 4Early/absentee voting at the Fremont County Courthouse

  • November 5— General Election Day

A Valid ID is Required to Vote!

Acceptable IDs:

  • Wyoming Driver’s License or ID Card

  • Tribal ID Card

  • Valid United States Passport

  • United States Military Card

  • Driver’s License or ID Card from Another State

  • University of Wyoming Student ID

  • Wyoming Community College Student ID

  • Wyoming Public School Student ID

  • Valid Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit

  • Valid Medicare Insurance Card (no longer acceptable after 2029)

  • Valid Medicaid Insurance Card (no longer acceptable after 2029)

On Election Day, you can vote at any of the Fremont County Vote Centers:

  • Arapahoe Charter School Building, 445 Little Wind River Bottom Rd., Arapahoe

  • Wyoming Indian High School Gym, 638 Blue Sky Highway, Ethete

  • Ft. Washakie School Gym, 90 Ft. Washakie School Rd., Ft. Washakie

  • Kinnear Fire Hall, 11521 Highway 26, Kinnear

  • Bob Carey Memorial Field House, Lander Valley High School, 350 Baldwin Creek Rd., Lander

  • Fremont Center, Fremont County Fairgrounds, 1010 Fairgrounds Dr., Riverton

  • Shoshoni Senior Citizens Center, 214 E. 2nd St, Shoshoni

  • Dubois Headwaters Community Arts Center, Stalnaker St., Dubois

Vote Centers are open from 7 AM until 7PM on Election Day
